American SpeedFest II signs Sky Sports host Kevin Cadle

Thursday, May 01 2014

Sky Sports presenter Kevin Cadle will be the 'Voice of American SpeedFest' when the NASCAR-headlined event returns to Brands Hatch on Sunday 8 June.

The event will be Cadle's first ever visit to the renowned Kent circuit, and he will be joined in the commentary box by Mark Werrell and Chris Hartley. Paul Musselle will host Radio SpeedFest once again on 87.7 FM.

The former GB basketball coach has been the face of Sky Sports' American sports coverage for over 16 years, most recently as the hugely popular host of NFL Sunday.

Being so familiar and a favourite of so many fans of American sports, he was the natural choice to anchor the American SpeedFest II.

The presenter, from Buffalo, New York, will be fielding fans' questions from within the commentary booth and providing SpeedFest fans with his own take on the event.

Cadle said: "I'm very much looking forward to American SpeedFest II. My buddies are big into their motorsport and they've been giving me their insights so I'm already looking forward to it. I love cars too and am looking forward to seeing all the classic cars.

"I'm going to bring some fun and enthusiasm to the commentary and try to relate to the crowd a little. I'm sure there will be a lot of folks in the same boat as me and I'll make sure we all have a good time."

The American SpeedFest II will be even bigger and better than the inaugural event last June, with more cars, music and entertainment for all the family. The on-track timetable will feature American-fuelled motorsport including the only NASCAR-backed series outside of the Americas, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, plus classic V8 races and a special Can-Am sportscar race.

Genuine American race cars will be on display and demonstrate on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit along with many of the UK's best dragsters. Over 1000 American car owners are expected to fill the venue too along with much more family fun.
